The Basics

Do not be mislead by the simplicity of the Home Screen....

All the magic is hiding behind these 6 buttons

"Data" is where you manage all the information displayed on the screen.
"Layout" is where you build , assemble, design and modify your screen.
"Message" is where you send a one time popup messages to the screens
"Account" is where you manage your account and the screens.
"Settings" is where you change the app preferences.

The layout designer

This interactive, touch based screen , especially designed in landscape view to simulate in maximum accuracy the screen.
From this screen you design all the parts of your screen
It goes much further than any other digital signage in the world.
Much further than you imagine can be accomplished with a mobile device.

Regions

The region Icon in the top left of the screen opens the regions selector window , allows you to add a widget to the screen.

There are many regions of 5 types:

Static
Configurable
Web static
Web customized
Datastore managed
Endpoint

Adding display widgets is as simple as pressing a button.

You can add any region you want, place it where needed, resize it.
The content of the region will scale according to the size you set.
The data in each region is designed to fit inside the the region.
Create any composition of regions for your needs.

And the screen display will be created according to the composition you have created in your mobile device.

Things are changing and updating in real-time, usually within less than a second. In the screen you see the regions and the actual content they represent

Regions configuration

Many of the regions have configuration and settings

when tapping a configurable region, appears a green icon in the top-right corner of the region, tapping it will open the configuration page. Examples:

Change time-zones for a world clock
Change currencies for Currency Exchange region.

And on the big screen.......

The changes on the configuration of the regions conducted on the mobile phone will apply on the screen in the same second. No delays , no waiting time for updates just to check if is has succeeded, everything happens on-the-fly.

Datastore managed regions

The datastore managed regions are probably the most important regions you will use

These regions are managed by a list of records. Each region has a unique way of displaying the different items in the datastore it represents, like:

All according to the preferences of the region and the datastore. Datastore item can split to multiple regions, more on this later....

Backgrounds

You can change the background of the screen and select an image from a huge collection of images specially adjusted to SynSign

You can select between:

Light theme
Dark theme
Abstract background
Scenic background
Topics
Market related background images

and more.....

Region Design

And in order to create perfect contrast between the background image of your choice and the foreground data , you can design the middle layer - the structure and design of the region.

You can change:

The color of the region itself
The border of the region
The opacity of the region
The color of the text in the region

And use the built in preview in the mobile app to see how it affects the visibility. Once saved , it will apply to the screen itself, as anywhere else, within a split of a second.

Multiple Regions / Groups

You can place multiple regions from the same type on the screen

Configurable regions can display different information like

Different time zones for different clocks
Different currency rates
Different Qr-Codes

Datastore managed regions can display different groups of items from the datastore by selecting the group.

The mobile app controls all your screens' layouts

If you have multiple SynSign screens in different places, you can design them all from wherever you are. Simply switch between the screens in the app and design each according to it's needs/preferences. All the designs are handled separately and each region can be placed in each screen and present the relevant data.

Regions targets

These are some selected regions existing in SynSign

The are 3 groups of regions:

Global - available for all users
"Market dedicated" - available to one or more specific markets
"Private" - designed especially for the use of a specific client.

Your logo image, static

Static display of the name of your place

Display the current date, can be configured to display date in different languages for different calendars

Showing 2 exchange rates for Currencies based on source currency, fully configurable

On tht fly image for a region, static and deleted when the region is removed

Datastore managed images list, loops infinitely

Datastore managed list of timed messages, appearing only during the time configured when created

Datastore managed list of sold items with Subject , details and optional 2 prices holders for current and old prices, looping infinitely

Datastore managed list of working hours for each day of the week, supports Not working days, Full day and Split

Automatic weather displaying today's and next 4 days whether forecast including precipitation

Displays on the screen a QR-Code of your choice, configured from the region

Countdown timer, displays a subject and the number of days/hours/munites/seconds until the time set, with a special 10 last seconds countdown.

Datastore managed list of Staff members, looping infinitely

Schedule of different food related times, meals, bars, etc.

Datastore managed list of announcements, looping infinitely

Automatic joke of the day, fetched automatically and looping infinitely (English only)
